Introduction:

Our lightbar has been refined over many years based on research, experience and the generous input from experienced practitioners to optimally meet the needs of EMDR  therapy providers.  We have placed effectiveness, simplicity and value as the foundation of our design and business principles in an effort to enable more providers with quality EMDR equipment.  Our lightbar is engineered and assembled in our US based workshop from quality domestic and internationally sourced components.

Control methods (WIFI or Remote):

You can choose to operate the lightbar from it’s WIFI based interface using your phone/laptop/tablet, or you can use the provided remote control and the display on the lightbar to operate the basic functions of the lightbar in a simplified approach without WIFI devices.  The phone pictured in the product pictures is used to illustrate the WIFI control and is not included with the lightbar.

Modes:

The lightbar has two primary modes: EMDR – which scrolls until paused, and Cycles – which scrolls a user set number of cycles and then automatically pauses. The light itself can be operated as scrolling or saccade.

Tappers:

The tappers, which are available as an accessory, have both a tap (vibrating) function and an audio buzzer function. These functions are synced with the lightbar and can be operated independently of each other. The tappers are corded with approximately 15’ cords that must be plugged into the lightbar. The tappers and cables are provided with hook & loop cable ties and reusable storage bags.

Headphones:

Bluetooth headphones can be connected to the lightbar using the WIFI interface and will play an audio tone synced with the lightbar in the right and left ear. Most Bluetooth stereo headphones with a fast response time will work with the lightbar, gaming headphones typically meet the Bluetooth speed requirements for proper syncing. We sell inexpensive and proven rechargeable Bluetooth stereo headphones as an available option. If you have clients who are rough on equipment and you would like to buy a heavier duty set of headphones that have been proven to work well with the lightbar, I recommend Bluetooth "Worktunes Connect" headphones made by 3M for industrial environments.

Distance setting:

Automatically adjusts scrolling distance traveled and frequency based on your input of the distance from client to lightbar to help reduce eye strain while maintaining optimal movement distance.

Client Profiles:

Using the WIFI interface, you can choose to save and load your or your clients settings for each session.

Cycles and Countdown:

When using Cycles mode, the user can set the number of cycles run until automatically paused. When a cycle is running, an easy to read countdown is displayed on both the lightbar display and the WIFI interface.

When using the remote control, the following settings are available:
Frequency (speed), number of cycles, run/pause, tappers, buzzers, distance from client, scrolling or saccade light, color and brightness. Icons on the display act as reminders as to which remote buttons to use for adjustments.

When using WIFI based user interface, the following settings are available:
Fast and slow user defined frequencies (speed), number of cycles, run/pause, tappers, buzzers, distance from client, scrolling or saccade light, color and brightness, the ability to sync user supplied stereo bluetooth headphones (your headphones must be stereo, otherwise the tone will play on both the right and left sides simultaneously), the ability to save/load client profiles/settings.

Tripod/stand options:

You can use the reversible standard camera tripod mount on the lightbar (1/4"x20) to quickly mount the light bar on the included tabletop tripod or the optional full sized tripod in a right or left facing orientation for easy and universal setup. Please be aware that the lightbar mount is compatible with all standard camera tripods with a capacity of at least 3 lbs. - If you already have a camera tripod, it will likely work just as well as our tripods.

Settings Specifications:

The frequency adjustment has a very wide range of 0.10-2.0Hz in increments of 0.025Hz, tappers/buzzers and headphones function to a maximum frequency of 1.5Hz. Default is 0.40Hz and 1Hz.

The color is adjustable to: Blue, Purple, Magenta, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, White. Default is Blue.

Light movement default is standard scrolling but can be set to saccade if desired. The light can be disabled if you choose to only use the tappers/buzzers or headphones.

The number of cycles are adjustable in cycle mode from 10-50 round trip cycles and can be used with or without tappers and/or buzzers. Default is 40 cycles.

The brightness range from 1-10 is suitable for a dim room to a bright environment. Default is 7.

WIFI Interface Detailed:

The web based interface will work with any WIFI device that has a web browser (phone, tablet or laptop - not supplied). The interface does not require an app or download. The lightbar generates a local, password protected WIFI access point and hosts a lightbar control webpage. The lightbar does not connect to the internet for security. Warranty:

The lightbar is warrantied for one year against manufacturing defects or defective components.

Free Shipping:

UPS Ground shipping is provided within the contiguous US for free. You can choose to upgrade to a faster method if needed at checkout, however, UPS ground is typically quite fast (3-4 business days) after fulfillment if you live near a large city and/or ship to a business address.

A desktop tripod is supplied standard (for use as a desktop stand – pictured), or an optional full size tripod (54" maximum height) for use as a floor stand. Pictured in "Optional Tripod" picture.
